Sew your Own Reversible Witch & Bucket Hat // October 16th, 3pm-5pm

Stitch a fully reversible witch-to-bucket hat you can wear all season long! In this workshop, you will cut curved pattern pieces, sew seams, and assemble a reversible brim and crown.

Skill level: Confident Beginner. Students should be comfortable stitching a basic straight seam on a sewing machine. Machine instruction is not covered in this session, but instructor can provide general assistance. Multiple size patterns are available, with samples available to try on, ranging from child to large

About the Instructor:

Danielle is a fiber artist that lives in Salem. She learned to sew in a high school elective, and has had some sort of project going ever since! She spends a lot of her time quilting, but also enjoys embroidery, applique, and has been slowly venturing into other apparel projects as well. She has an adopted black cat named Luna and an adopted black standard poodle named Louie. She mostly grew up in KY and RI, and has lived in the Boston area for almost 15  years. Tools included:

Sewing machines and basic tools (shears, pins, irons)
Printed pattern template and step-by-step guidance

What you should bring:

1 yard fabric total. You’ll need ½ yard for the witch hat side and ½ yard for the bucket hat side. These can be the same fabric or two different fabrics. Quilting cotton, cotton canvas, denim, light-midweight wool, light-midweight flannel would all be good options. 1/2 yard mid-weight fusible interfacing.

If you're not sure, you can buy in Forager Fabrics the same day! If buying in-store the day of the workshop, please arrive 15 minutes early to select your materials before class begins.

Fabric can be purchased in advance at a location of your choice or fabric from your stash is welcome.

This class requires a minimum of 2 students to run. If a class does not meet this minimum, we reserve the right to cancel the session. In the event of a cancellation, all registered participants will receive a full refund to their original payment method.
